  • Michael H. Brisman, MD
    Chief, Division of Neurosurgery

    Michael Brisman, MD, is Chief of Winthrop's Division of Neurosurgery and Surgical Director of the Hospital's Neurosciences Unit. He is a neurosurgeon specializing in stereotactic surgery and radiosurgery for brain tumors and trigeminal neuralgia.

    Dr. Brisman is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.

    His post-graduate training includes a residency in neurosurgery and internship in surgery at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where he also served as Chief Resident. He received his medical degree from Columbia University.

    Dr. Brisman has published numerous articles in professional journals. He is also Managing Editor of the Nassau County Medical Society Bulletin, and serves on the Boards of Directors of the International Radiosurgery Support Association and the New York State Neurosurgical Society.
