Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center offers evidence-based, effective therapy for managing Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This includes proactive medication administration with a focus on minimizing steroid exposure, timely office visits for flaring patients, novel endoscopic imaging including chromoendoscopy, and close attention to quality metrics such as vaccination, bone health and cancer screening. We administer biologic-based therapies at the Winthrop Infusion Center. We benefit from a close collaboration with Pediatric Gastroenterology for our adolescent patients, Maternal-Fetal Medicine for our expectant mothers, the Urgent Care Center and Colorectal Surgery for same day appointments and more invasive treatment options, Radiology and Pathology for diagnostic testing, the Rheumatology department for extra-intestinal disease manifestations and our on-staff registered dietician.
