- December 12, 2016
Members of the Rotary Club of Williston Park delivered toys on November 30 and helped kick off the holiday season for young patients at Winthrop’s Cancer Center for Kids.
Mineola, NY – Each year, members of The Rotary Club of Williston Park look forward to visiting Winthrop-University Hospital in order to deliver toys to Winthrop’s Cancer Center for Kids (CCFK). The visit spreads cheer and their generous donation of toys will help the CCFK fill its “Winter Wonderland,” a boutique created by the CCFK’s Child Life team for its pediatric patients. The Rotary Club of Williston Park’s extraordinary commitment to Winthrop’s young patients is deeply appreciated by the Hospital.
As the largest outpatient facility for children with cancer and blood disorders in Nassau County, Winthrop’s CCFK is at the forefront of treatment and research, and is a collaborative member of the prestigious Children’s Oncology Group (COG), an international network of researchers and health providers. For more information about the CCFK, call (516) 663-9400 or visit our the CCFK website.
