Mineola, NY − In the spirit of raising awareness about the importance of early detection and breast health education, members of Winthrop-University Hospital’s Breast Health Center Team were proud to take part in the 10th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Long Island Duck’s stadium on September 1.

The game provided a platform for participating organizations to educate the Long Island community about breast cancer and provide valuable information about the programs and services that are available to them. Among the highlights of the evening was the ceremonial first pitch, thrown out by Winthrop’s Frank Monteleone, MD, Chief of Breast Services and Director of the Breast Health Program.
