- April 1, 2015
~ April 12-18 is National Volunteer Week ~
Throughout the patient care units and support areas of Winthrop-University Hospital, a dedicated group of volunteers and Auxilians consistently give the greatest gift of all for the benefit of others – the gift of self. In recognition of National Volunteer Week, April 12-18, Winthrop wishes to extend its gratitude to all those who donate their time and services and have a positive impact on both staff and patients.
The Hospital will host a special luncheon and awards ceremony for its Junior Volunteers on April 19. The annual service awards ceremony and luncheon for Senior Volunteers and Auxilians will be held in October.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to all of our junior and senior volunteers and auxilians on their commitment and dedication to Winthrop-University Hospital,” said Jean Zebroski, Director of Patient Relations and Volunteer Services. “Their support is vital to the Winthrop mission of ensuring our patients’ health means everything.”
