- Winthrop-University Hospital Seeking the Opinion of the Community - What Are Your Health Concerns? - Archived
- September 12, 2013
Winthrop-University Hospital is seeking the opinion of the public. The hospital is interested in learning about the health concerns of individuals and families, in an effort to provide programs and services that will improve the overall health and well-being of all. To learn more, the community is invited to participate in an open forum during one of two sessions being offered – Thursday evening, September 26, at 7 PM or Sunday afternoon, October 6, at 1 PM. Both sessions will be held at the Winthrop Wellness Pavilion, 1300 Old Country Road, Suite ML-5 in Garden City.
Participation in one of the sessions will give individuals an opportunity to learn about the Community Health Needs Assessment hospitals are conducting according to the regulations of the President’s Affordable Care Act, as well as the collaborative steps that Winthrop, other Nassau County Hospitals and the Department of Health have taken to assess the needs of the community. Most importantly, participants will have the chance to voice their opinion about health and wellness issues during this open forum. The information the public provides will supplement the work that has already been completed.
Seating is limited. To reserve a seat or for further information, please call (516) 663-2234. If you cannot attend one of these meetings and would like to provide your input, please visitwww.winthrop.org and take the community health survey.
